Love Shine A Light (15th Anniversary)
Mon 26 Mar 2012Kimberley Rew, the celebrated musician and songwriter behind the renowned song, “Love Shine A Light” is excited to announce the celebration of its 15th Anniversary of being Eurovision Song Contest winner in 1997. The song was the competitionʼs run-away winner – ten countries awarded it the maximum twelve points – and it went on to reach Number 3 in the UK. This special anniversary release pays tribute to the success of this song along with 3 other favourites from Katrina and the Waves catalogue.
The new EP, out today, also includes Sun Street, Ain’t No Money (Buy You Love) and That’s Just The Woman In Me.
“Thatʼs Just The Woman In Me” was famously covered by Celine Dion. (She even named her ‘comeback’ TV special after the song.)
“I remember the very first time I heard one of Kimberleyʼs great songs…..ʼThatʼs Just the Woman In Meʼ. For more than 10 years I couldnʼt get the song out of my mind, and I finally had the chance to record it a few years ago. Now, thatʼs what I call a memorable songwriter!” – Celine Dion
